I have the Kindle Reader App on my iTouch 2G
Yesterday, at a WiFi Hotspot, I tried out the new Amazon feature of Browsing & Buying books, including Kindle format eBooks, directly from my iTouch to read on my iTouch.
You also get the option to D/L the eBook to whatever device you have registered at Amazon - in my case, I can D/L eBooks to my iTouch 1G, iTouch 2G, Kindle1, or Kindle2
I found the new iTouch/iPhone direct D/L feature worked flawlessly and was fast. Even browsing books was fast, usually a slow process for me since my desktop and laptop computers at home use a slow Dial-Up AOL Connection.
The "Try a Sample" for free feature also is available from iTouch
